The Rada adopted a scandalous law on land

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted changes to the legislation on the sale of land, which allow bidding through electronic auctions.

272 deputies voted for the bill introduced by members of the presidential faction “Servant of the People,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The adoption of the changes was preceded by many hours of consideration of the amendments, the vast majority of which were made by members of the Batkivshchyna faction, which opposes the launch of the land market. According to deputies, the adopted changes limit the ability of Ukrainian farmers to participate in auctions, since not all villages in the country have access to the Internet.

In addition, farmers who have rented land for years are deprived of their priority right to purchase it.

“This bill does not prioritize local farmers. Especially those that today support the infrastructure of the village and help united territorial communities, village heads, elders, and so on. This bill includes armchair farmers who will come to auctions from Kyiv, most of them,” said Batkivshchyna member Vadim Ivchenko.
