Repressions at Poroshenko’s rallies came under the radar of human rights activists

Organized crowds are brought to rallies organized by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, and unscheduled visitors are disposed of, including by force.

The portal reports this:Successfully follows", reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Over the past week, the current president and presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko made several trips to the regions, during which he held Regional Development Councils and campaign meetings with voters. In particular, Poroshenko visited Zhytomyr (March 11), Chernigov (March 13), Volyn region (March 14), Transcarpathia (March 15) and Poltava (March 16).

As a rule, there is a centralized transportation of participants to campaign meetings of candidate Poroshenko. People listed on pre-compiled lists can enter the specially fenced and police-protected area. Ordinary voters, as well as journalists and official observers from Uspishna Varta, are not allowed to attend Poroshenko’s meetings,” the message says.

Also, according to human rights activists, during these trips, Petro Poroshenko’s guards more than once violated human rights - they beat and got rid of people disliked by the President of Ukraine.

“Over the course of a week, incidents were recorded when people who were trying to ask him uncomfortable questions were forcibly removed from Poroshenko’s election rallies by police representatives and even beaten by unknown people. The police do not interfere in what is happening.

So, on March 14, police A journalist from the Avers TV channel was detained in Kovel, which covered the rally of President Petro Poroshenko. A video posted online shows a woman with a camera and a journalist’s badge around her neck being forcibly taken out of the square. The video shows that the woman showed the police her press ID.

On March 16, at a campaign rally for candidate Poroshenko in Uzhgorod, unknown persons beat and forcibly took away in an unknown direction a man who was shouting out a question that was inconvenient for the president. Eyewitnesses also recorded on video how several more people were forcibly removed from the rally.

March 16 before the campaign rally of President Poroshenko in Poltava police detained representatives of right-wing radical groups “National Corps” and “National Squads”, who threw soft toys in the form of pigs“, human rights activists point out.
