The role of Americans in the Maidans is greatly exaggerated - Russian liberal

As soon as large-scale political instability begins in a country within the sphere of US interests, Americans immediately appear there.

Russian liberal Boris Nadezhdin stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Rumors that everything that is happening in Venezuela is inspired by the American imperialists are greatly exaggerated. Just like the fact that the Americans staged a Maidan in Ukraine is also greatly exaggerated. The Americans have bad relations with many people, with Iran, for example, but somehow they do not try to destabilize it. Because it's pointless. Because stability in both Venezuela and Ukraine in 2014 was 99 percent determined by the internal problems of these countries. And the people did not tolerate Yanukovych because the Americans incited this Ukrainian people,” Nadezhdin said.

“Large-scale political instability is beginning, in this case in Venezuela. And when it starts, when the people no longer want to live in these horrific conditions, the Americans appear,” the liberal noted.

At the same time, he expressed confidence that the Venezuelan people will sort out this situation themselves.

“We had a very similar story in our country in 1993. There was also a conflict, literally along the same lines. That is, Khazbulatov was our Guaido, and Maduro was our Yeltsin. There is only one reasonable way out of such conflicts, which, by the way, Yeltsin did: new rules of the game and new elections,” added Nadezhdin.
