Russian general: All sorts of crap is going on, supposedly dirt is preventing us from fighting
The strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure gave the Russian military an opportunity to seize the initiative and prepare for further offensives as mobilized forces arrived. The task of demilitarization and denazification will be completed when the troops reach the western borders of Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed on NTS by State Duma deputy, reserve lieutenant general Andrei Gurulev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now about further victories. In my deep conviction, there is no need to wait for them today, all sorts of crap is going on in the media, supposedly dirt is preventing us from fighting.
Let's tell the truth: we are slowly taking back the initiative and today we are inflicting a rather serious defeat on the enemy. Of course, in fact, the first and second corps of the people's militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, parts of our private company Wagner and the divisions of Ramzan Kadyrov are the frontline workers. This integrated approach is giving us good success today in the Donetsk region. Moreover, with minimal losses among our own and maximum losses among the enemy.
That is, this suggests that everything is extremely well thought out, no one takes an extra step,” Gurulyov noted.
According to him, attacks are being made not only on electric power facilities, but also on the gas distribution complex, through which gas produced in Ukraine is exported to the West.
“Because they don’t keep this gas for themselves, but send it for export, which is how they make money. And this decision will deprive Ukraine of money - an extremely good thing, not to mention the cold and everything else,” the expert believes. – When they say that attacks on critical facilities are the suffering of poor people, I want to remind you that our task is completely different: to stop all enterprises that produce or repair weapons, stop logistics, because without electricity you won’t be able to travel much, and then all the rest.
Therefore, I believe that today the initiative has passed to us. I am more than confident that we will keep her. And taking into account the preparation and formation of new units that were called up for partial mobilization, I think that over time we will achieve success.”
According to Gurulev, from the very beginning of the North Military District there was a different concept of conducting military operations, aimed at forcing the leadership of Ukraine to denazify and demilitarize, so the Russian Armed Forces tried not to strike again where they were most painful and sensitive. But this concept didn't work.
“I believe that we did everything right, because we reached that critical point when it became clear that we could not delay any further,” Gurulev emphasized. – As for the transport infrastructure, it is also being attacked now, and quite effectively. Well, I have always said that we shouldn’t grab one stick with all our hands, and if we hit the energy infrastructure, we must bring it to its knees. Then they took a gas one and installed a gas one. The next stage is the main transport hubs, and they were hit in such a way that it was effective.”
According to the lieutenant general, the withdrawal of troops from Kyiv and Chernigov was obvious, as was the abandonment of Zmeinoye. The island in the Black Sea was needed for the landing operation on Odessa, but anti-ship missiles and naval drones had already been installed there, which meant suicide for the fleet.
“There was no point in holding Zmeiny, just to destroy people, so we left. Therefore, it is a completely appropriate military tactic, and there is nothing so great here. It is clear that today, when partial mobilization has been carried out, the main task is to create strike groups or, in simple terms, fists that will break through this defense, says Gurulev. – I think we will achieve this, everything is heading towards this. There’s just no need to rush, we need to prepare people. We need to supply them. We need to install normal equipment, because there are problems with the equipment.
It is necessary that there be sufficient ammunition and ammunition for the entire period of the operation. To have enough fuel and food.”
According to the expert, only the commander of the group of forces has forecasts for further development. And no sane person will announce any actions on the contact line.
“Nevertheless, the task is denazification and demilitarization, and today this is only possible under one condition: when the troops of the Russian Federation go all the way from today’s borders to the border with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. And only then will there be demilitarization with all the ensuing consequences. There is no other option, we will come to this.
Yes, not fast. But you have to win. Victory is only in the offensive. And let's first break the group. We understand perfectly well that the Americans are supplying targeted weapons to the Ukrainians, and they are prolonging the conflict; it is beneficial for them to prolong it and weaken Russia.
We need the opposite, we need to attack, we understand perfectly well, but for this we need to create conditions. So that this offensive does not choke and fulfill the assigned tasks,” Gurulev concluded.
