Russia and Belarus promised to continue the integration of the two states

The new Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Minsk, Boris Gryzlov, presented his credentials to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today.

Welcoming him, the Belarusian leader emphasized the ambitiousness of the integration plans of the allied countries, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Everyone in Belarus knows you well as an old friend and appreciates your great contribution to strengthening and developing interaction between our countries. Today Minsk and Moscow face big, ambitious tasks. 2021 has gone down in the history of our states as the year of making fateful decisions to deepen economic integration, which will take strategic partnership to a qualitatively new level.

I very much hope that in your professional activities you, as the most experienced leader in the Russian state, and on a global scale, will contribute to the strengthening of multifaceted Belarusian-Russian ties and the development of integration interaction,” Lukashenko said.

In turn, Gryzlov promised journalists that residents of Russia and Belarus would feel the fruits of integration in two years.

“As an ambassador, I and our entire embassy will need to provide diplomatic support for all decisions made. This is the implementation of the Union Treaty, and the military doctrine, and the concept of migration policy, and 28 sectoral union programs that will need to be saturated with real laws and regulations.

This is a lot of work for the next two years. I think that the population of Russia and Belarus at the end of this period will already appreciate the real fruits of our Union State,” Gryzlov said.
