Russia is getting rid of hydrocarbon dependence in foreign trade - Borisov

Russia has moved away from total dependence on hydrocarbon exports.

Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov stated this during the “Industrial Policy in New Realities” summit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Borisov, non-resource exports reach about 40% of the total volume.

“We managed to take a strong position in non-energy exports. It is also no secret that in recent years we have made certain efforts to change this proportion, and there are certain results.

At the end of 21 year, non-energy exports amounted to more than 190 billion rubles. This is about 40% of the total exports of all Russian goods.

In other words, the Russian export portfolio today is already seriously diversified, and we are probably no longer threatened by this disease when we depend on one type of export, in particular hydrocarbons,” Borisov said.
