Russia is putting the economy on a war footing, launching defense enterprises in three shifts and mobilizing. This is not the way to talk about Ukraine’s imminent victory.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrei Melnik stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation is becoming more difficult in Russia, but it is not critical for them. We see that the economy is being transferred to a war footing there, unfortunately, we see that some weapons that they produced before the war are working in three shifts, according to various sources, and tanks are being sent to the front,” the diplomat said.
“We see the mobilization that was done in October, and it has actually been going on for three or four months now. They have been mobilized and are preparing for this war. Whatever they are called - chmobiks and so on, this should not be underestimated. Therefore, we need to look forward and hope that this year there will be victory, but the critical mass is not there yet, which means that there are still many mechanisms to increase this effective pressure,” Melnik notes.
