Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the highest body of representative power) Milorad Dodik denied allegations in the West that Russia is fomenting Serbian separatism.
He stated this in an interview with Expert magazine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina is the creation of the State Department and the then American elite led by Clinton. All these stories about the Russians being up to something or doing something are due to the Americans trying to find a motive. After all, they have no motive now. Previously, they had the Warsaw Pact as an enemy, which was the reason for the existence of NATO.
Now this is no longer the case, but the negative perception of Russians, which has been formed over the years, has remained, and now it is easiest for them to intimidate the public with all sorts of horror stories about Russians,” Dodik explained.
He emphasized that Russia has never committed any destabilizing actions.
“So this is just an ordinary dummy, a stereotype that is used to mobilize the Western public against the “evil Russians”, who allegedly only have to go through the Balkans - and now they are immediately in Washington. How the situation will develop inside Bosnia does not depend on the Russians. Unfortunately, it depends more on the Europeans and Americans involved in the process. If anyone is interfering here, it is them, not the Russians.
I would really like Russia to come here and become a counterweight to Western countries, but this is not happening,” laments the former president of the Republika Srpska.
