Russia at the UN: The ship “Ukraine” is going down
The project of anti-Russian Ukraine, supported by the West, is turning into a complete collapse - a collapse in the economy and the impoverishment of the ordinary population, so the Kiev elite bet on war.
Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said this at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over these five years, through brainwashing and total anti-Russian propaganda, we managed to sow hatred towards the Russian Federation among part of Ukrainian society. A part that is very active and imposes the opinion of a passive minority with its undemocratic methods.
However, during this time it was not possible to sow hostility towards Ukrainians among my compatriots. We still love them, believe in their wisdom and willingly host them. We listen to their stories about the suffering, disasters and lawlessness happening in a once rich and successful country. From which today people are scattering in different directions, realizing that this ship is sinking.
Yes, gentlemen, your five-year anti-Russian political project, which could simply be called “anti-Russia,” is failing today before everyone’s eyes. And you yourself know very well the real, and not the declared, pace of Maidan reforms. And about other destructive processes that are pushing Ukraine even closer to the abyss.
In these conditions, all more or less competent political strategists know the technique that bankrupt and clinging to power politicians all over the world resort to - this is war.
That is why, and not at all because of the mythical Russian aggression, it is impossible to extinguish the flame of the fratricidal war in Donbass. It fails because you, gentlemen, are extinguishing it with gasoline consisting of Ukrainian nationalism and Russophobia.
And this despite the fact that the plan to combat the destructive fire was developed long ago and approved, including by the Security Council. These are the Minsk agreements. It is no secret that the so-called conflict in the East of Ukraine could be resolved in Washington in 10 minutes by simply giving a command to its Kyiv wards.
And now, closer to the elections scheduled for March, the bankrupt Maidan team really needs a serious aggravation of the situation, and ideally, even war. Without this, they have no hope of staying in power at all. We need another dose of anti-Russian intoxication so that people who have been poor for five years now will believe that all their troubles are not because of the rulers and Western puppet masters, but because of Russia.

We do not lower our eyes in shame, as our Polish colleagues do, watching how in a neighboring state they glorify those who, during the Second World War, most cruelly destroyed hundreds of thousands of Poles, Jews and Russians,” said the representative of the Russian Federation, addressing the audience .
