Rostislav Ishchenko: Russia must be ready to slap its neighbors
Russia must be prepared to give its neighbors in Eastern Europe a “serious slap in the face” if they overstep the bounds.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the “Crimean Front” video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We can see what adventurous steps are in the example of Zelensky, who almost started a war three times during his two years as president. Moreover, not the Civil War in Ukraine, but the war between Ukraine and its surroundings, and even with Russia.
The whole of Eastern Europe could turn into such an adventurous space. Moreover, the Americans don’t care, they are not going to fight there. But if a mess starts there, in Eastern Europe, then it will be a Russian problem.
Moscow must keep this in mind, and I’m sure they do, so they are working on options for quickly and effectively calming down our Eastern European brothers. According to a variety of scenarios, but so that, firstly, it does not force them to be drawn into the problems of one state or one region for a long time, but so that it is such an effective slap in the face that they would then move away from it in the next five to ten years, and not got under the feet of serious boys,” Ishchenko said.
