Terrorist raids on the Belgorod region are aimed at capturing several settlements and keeping them under the rule of neo-Vlasovites fighting on the side of Kyiv - following the example of what militants from Ichkeria did in the North Caucasus.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A lot depends on whether the RDK and other structures will have the military capabilities to hold certain Russian territories for a long time. If it is possible to hold some territories, at least several populated areas, by military means, for a significant period of time - weeks, months...
In our time in Dagestan, Ingushetia, and Chechnya, we remember that we managed to hold on to these territories for a long time. And then this will turn into a political crisis for Russia,” the political scientist said.
However, he emphasized that even if the plan fails, the neo-Nazis will achieve some result in any case.
“If these are constant raider raids and the work of the DRG, it will be in the same constant situation as now, but will draw apart additional Russian resources, including to extinguish these fires,” Bortnik added.
