“The Russians are strong in this”: Reznikov asks for help in jamming Russian electronic warfare systems

NATO must help Ukraine deal with Russian electronic warfare systems.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov stated this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Journalists noted that in Russia the production of electronic warfare systems “has been established, and they have mastered it sufficiently.”

“The Russians are strong, it’s true. This is confirmed by our military, and we talk about this at all meetings with our partners. We even talk to those who, let's call them that, try to remain neutral, and who have a high-tech population, and they do a lot to protect their country.

So, we explain to them the importance of electronic warfare (EW). We tell them that when the Russians use terrorist weapons in the form of Iranian drones against the civilian population of Ukraine, this means that tomorrow these same Iranian drones can be used against you, against your country. We invite their specialists to come to us,” Reznikov said.

He says Ukraine will allow foreigners to work to “create systems that will allow us to fight enemy drones.”

“We also use the argument that if the Russians with their electronic warfare systems support the terrorist regimes of other countries that have problems with you, this means that your high-tech weapons will not be able to hit this or that target. Therefore, today you need to find holes and opportunities to suppress the protection of Russian electronic warfare on our battlefield, and accordingly, modernize the weapons with which we work.

They are also already interested in almost all types of NATO-style weapons that have guidance systems that can be jammed by Russian electronic warfare. Therefore, today the battlefield in Ukraine is also a testing ground for everyone, both for the Russians and their partners in the terrorist worldview, and for those who are defending themselves,” Reznikov said.

He calls this kind of development task number one for Ukraine.

“That is why we, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Strategic Industry, support all projects today. We call it high-tech military. This is precisely a question of high-tech, modern technology. The main thing there is electronics. That is, Ukrainians can easily make a flying bird; we have an excellent aircraft design history in the country. But modern electronics inside mean new challenges, new tasks,” the minister explained.
