From March 7, Sberbank of Russia began servicing citizens using passports of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, сообщают RIA Novosti, citing the bank's press service.

The agency recalls that Russian President Vladimir Putin in mid-February signed a decree on the recognition in Russia of documents issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons living in the territories of certain regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.
At the same time, Sberbank explained that from the moment the decree was signed, the bank needed time to organize the acceptance of new types of passports.
“Today, Sberbank is ready to serve persons applying with DPR and LPR passports in all branches of the bank,” the press service reported.
As PolitNavigator reported, after the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the demand for LDPR passports has grown tenfold.
