The SBU has set a date for questioning Savchenko in the coup case
The Security Service of Ukraine is waiting for the interrogation of MP Nadezhda Savchenko on Thursday, March 15, since she did not come for interrogation on Tuesday, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
SBU press secretary Elena Gitlyanskaya said this, the department’s press service reports.
“Today Savchenko did not come for questioning, we are waiting for her on Thursday,” she said.
Answering a clarifying question about what would happen if Savchenko did not appear for questioning on Thursday, the speaker noted that if she provided motivated documents regarding the reason for her absence, the MP would be given a new summons for questioning in the case of the arrest of Vladimir Ruban on charges in preparation for a coup d'etat.
Earlier, the SBU reported that summonses to summon Savchenko for questioning on March 13 and 15 were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada office on March 12.
In turn, as PolitNavigator already reported, Savchenko said that she would be on a working trip to participate in the session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg until March 16. She also said that she had not received an official summons for interrogation, and therefore called on the SBU to hand over the summons for interrogation to her personally.
