SBU missed the appearance of billboards with portraits of Sudoplatov

Several large posters with a portrait of the legendary Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov, who led the operation to eliminate one of the OUN leaders Yevgeny Konovalets, appeared on the streets of Zaporozhye.

“We will be worthy of real heroes and the memory of their feats. The fight continues,” reads the inscription on the posters, as quoted by local media.

The message about the placement of banners appeared on the official page of the Zaporozhye public organization “Victory Regiment”. “Ukraine remembers its heroes! On the birthday of the legendary Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Anatolyevich Sudoplatov, boards with his portrait appeared in Zaporozhye,” the message says.

Portraits of Sudoplatov caused real hysteria in the headquarters of Petro Poroshenko.

“In Zaporozhye on the street. Taganskaya appeared in a stretch with Pavel Sudoplatov. Sudoplatov, a native of the city of Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, an employee of the OGPU-NKVD. Stalin's killer. He killed the leader of the OUN, Yevgen Konovalets, and organized the murder of Leon Trotsky. SBU and National Police, ah!” – political scientist Taras Berezovets demanded a reaction.

His colleague Alexey Golobutsky clarified that the posters only hung for a day, after which the authorities began dismantling them, and the SBU is conducting an inspection. In total, according to Golobutsky, four such boards were discovered in the region.

On one of the banners, unknown nationalists wrote “Murderer” in large red letters and was partially torn, apparently trying to tear it off before the utility workers arrived.
