In Kyiv, a criminal case was opened against a driver who worked at the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and denied the existence of Ukraine

“The security service documented the subversive activities of a full-time driver of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, who denied Russian armed aggression and justified the seizure of Ukrainian territories. In April of this year, a person involved in a commentary on one of the domestic TV channels called the temporarily occupied Crimea “Russian” and the borders of our state “unregistered.”
In addition, he told the journalist that “Putin did not start a war” against Ukraine, and called the death of civilians from Russian air strikes “natural,” the report says.
The SBU relies on a linguistic examination carried out on its order, which “confirmed the facts of the defendant’s illegal activities against the state security of Ukraine.”
The man is suspected of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is now being decided.
