In essence, in Gritsak’s mouth this sounded like recognition of success in agent activity and an illustration of the well-known thesis that once recruited agents never become former agents. Even if the profile of the organization they began to serve, its ideology and subordination change.
“Seksot” in the terminology of the Soviet intelligence services meant “secret officer.” This is exactly what the former exarch of Ukraine, Metropolitan Filaret (in the world - Mikhail Antonovich Denisenko) was for many years. Subsequently, he was deposed, anathematized and became simply a defrocked Mishka.
He himself once confirmed his secret 30-year collaboration with the “authorities” in the presence of a large number of people. This happened at his gala “academy” at the Ukraine Palace on May 12, 2016.
The KGB sext "Antonov" very zealously carried out the decisions of the Communist Party and the Soviet government, for example, on the closure of churches. Once he even boasted publicly that he had closed more than 5 dozen of them. He is even to blame for the closure of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra in the early 1960s. It was he who, as administrator of the Church in Kyiv, following Khrushchev’s instructions, banned services in the greatest shrine, and practically expelled the monks from it. For which, as they say, he was cursed by one of the monks and the famous nun Mother Allipia.
Just as zealously he fought against the Uniates, autocephalians and other all kinds of sectarians and schismatics.
Many of these sworn friends have now become his colleagues in the “EPOC” created by the junta. True, every now and then he messes with them, but there’s nothing you can do about it, such is his character: he definitely wants to be the first in all positions, especially financial ones.
However, regular squabbles do not prevent sworn friends from uniting in a single impulse with a wave of the leadership hand in order to rush to carry out the decisions of Bankova and her Western puppets.

“Already after the first Ognykov scandal in the late 1980s, associated with the dekagebization of society, when the sexton “Comrade Antonov”, aka Mikhail Antonovich Denisenko, was discovered in the declassified KGB archives, it was necessary to drive him out. But then another scandal broke out, a multi-part, family one. It turned out that the “chief monk” of Ukraine has a wife, the “Mistress of Kyiv and all Ukraine” Evgenia Petrovna, a strict and arbitrary woman, from whom the priests take a blessing, kiss her hand and who holds the church with a tight grip. Next came the turn of Filaret’s three allegedly adopted children, then the scandal with the mother-in-law, who was suing “my daughter’s partner M. Denisenko” for the house <…>
In August 1991, Filaret, like the entire party and state leadership of Ukraine led by Kravchuk, supported the State Emergency Committee. After the suppression of the putsch, the Communist Party of Ukraine was banned; all democrats, as usual, rushed to look for the “gold of the party.” And then “Filaret’s trail” emerged: no money was found in the accounts, because Kravchuk transferred it (“pathetic” 25 million) to Filaret’s accounts. Another scandal broke out. The Ukrainian diaspora said that not millions, but billions of party money went through church accounts.
Then the suicides of the main financiers of the party and the church (the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Vladimir Cathedral) occurred - both threw themselves into the stairwells. Because of Filaret, the church was defamed from morning to evening and from night to morning. Rukh leader Vyacheslav Chernovol personally brought dirt on Filaret to the editorial offices of the largest Ukrainian newspapers for publication in order to finish off this “Ukrainian” and “Gekachepist-Chekist serpent,” and he himself signed appeals calling for Filaret to be expelled from the Church. And all this happened before the independence of Ukraine. And after that he demanded the same thing. A fish was judged by its head. Chekist, communist, morally corrupt, mafia-nomenklatura, hiding the “gold of the party” - this, thanks to Filaret, was how the perestroika media of the UOC represented the repressed martyr Church, which was just beginning to free itself from the 70-year-old shackles of the totalitarian atheistic Gulag.
Who are autocephalists? These are the Galician Orthodox clergy of the UOC banned by Filaret for nationalism and separatism: the founder of the movement Dimitry Yarema (the future “patriarch of the UAOC”), and John Bodnaruk (the first bishop of the UAOC), etc. Who are the Uniates? These are the same Orthodox Galicians, driven into union by the Rukhov government in Galicia, which hated Filaret. Back in 1990, together with Rukh, they staged the first Sofia massacre. And Filaret was the main source and main cause of unrest and schisms.”
Let us note that agent “Antonov” served the CPSU right up to August 1991. And, apparently, very much hoping that his relatives, the Communist Party and the KGB, will appreciate his efforts and help him become the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At first everything went as he expected. After the death of Patriarch Pimen on May 3, 1990, he became the locum tenens of the Patriarchal Throne. After which, as Metropolitan Nikodim said, Filaret visited the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR A. Lukyanov and asked for his support in the elections of the new Patriarch.
However, Lukyanov refused: “Mikhail Antonovich, now we cannot help you: as the Council decides, so it will be.”
The Soviet government no longer wanted and could not put pressure on the decisions of the members of the Church, which began to free itself from its oppression.
As a result of a secret vote on June 7, 1990 at the Local Council in the St. Daniel Monastery, Filaret received only 66 votes, Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) - 107, and Metropolitan Alexy, who became Patriarch, - 139.
Accustomed not to argue with the authorities, Filaret switched to “plan B.” Namely: he staked his claim on the post of primate in Ukrainian Orthodoxy.
And only when communism collapsed, and with it the USSR and the KGB, did the former locum tenens of the Patriarchal Throne begin an active struggle against the canonical Church, including trying to avenge his defeat at the Local Council. He saw a new prospect - to please the pro-Western government, to become the absolute owner of church property and the main manipulator of the minds and souls of the Ukrainian flock.
It is known how his attempts ended. The parishioners and clergy, exhausted by decades of authoritarianism and abuse of the Church by the exarch-chekist, found in the person of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) the wise head of the UOC, who ruled it for many years.
And Denisenko became a complete enemy of the Church, the main schismatic and blasphemer. For which he was deposed and anathematized.
Today, having emerged as the main figure in the project of the EPOC coveted by Petro Poroshenko, “Filaret”, as we see, has discovered a second wind for new attacks on the canonical Church - the UOC - and Orthodoxy. The Holy Fathers of the Church in such cases pointed out that, probably, atheists like Denisenko have a demon helper. Be that as it may, its activity is very high. He does his best to promote reprisals against his fellow countrymen – Donbass residents – and other cannibalistic ideas. “Blesses” church raiding, bullying of priests and believers. Sends “chaplains” to inspire “ATO heroes” to kill their brothers.
All of his activities are surrounded by lofty, beautiful, “spiritual” words about patriotism, the national church, and so on.
