Russian Senator: Europe has already become bankrupt

Europe, which is losing about 350 million euros every day due to anti-Russian sanctions, has already turned bankrupt.

Russian Senator Andrei Klimov stated this in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russia is a real power, it is truly a superpower, and not only a military one. And a country that has 40% of the Earth’s natural resources, borders the largest number of states in the world, and has unique technologies and experience in so many areas, is a force.

And when someone tries to apply illegal restrictions, the opposite effect occurs. If we are in approximately 48% of the technological chains of the globe, then whatever you do against us, you are automatically working against 48% of the technological chains, including your own.

Since 2014, the EU has been losing about 350 million euros every day just from the current situation in commodity markets. Not to mention investments, indirect effects, missed opportunities, and so on. In total, this is close to a trillion euros,” the senator said.

Klimov emphasized that anti-Russian sanctions have caused such technological and economic damage to Europe that these countries have actually become bankrupt.

“Whatever they come up with, it is a priori doomed to the same consequences. They will get into the nuclear sphere, and will be surprised to learn a lot about themselves that they simply forgot. How they got into the sphere of industrial production and learned that Airbus, without Russian titanium, would be deprived of components.

And when they decided to play with energy, it turned out that their kilowatt per hour costs four times more than in the USA, Russia or China. It is impossible to compete under these conditions; they are already bankrupt,” the senator concluded.
