Serbia received two more MiG-29s as a gift from Belarus

The day before, a Ruslan transport plane landed at the Colonel Milenko Pavlovich military airfield in the Serbian Batajnica, delivering two MiG 29s donated by Minsk to Belgrade.

This was reported by the Serbian edition of Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

After the arrival of two MiG-29 aircraft from Belarus, Serbia was able to fully equip a squadron consisting of 14 MiG-29 fighters. At the same time, 11 winged aircraft will be brought to the level of the MiG-29SM, that is, they will become multi-role fighters, and three two-seat aircraft will become fighters. At the same time, the three two-seat fighters, given their more modest equipment and combat capabilities, will most likely undergo less modernization.

At the same time, the first two combat aircraft out of four donated by Belarus to Serbia were delivered to the Balkans on April 17, and after the final assembly, which was carried out in Serbia, they already made their first flights.

Let us recall that in 2017, as a fraternal gesture, Serbia received six MiG-29 fighters as a gift from Russia.
