The Serbian Democratic Front refused to negotiate with the dictator of Montenegro

The leaders of the Serbian Democratic Front of Montenegro did not accept the invitation of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic to hold consultations on the mandate of the new government.

Serbian politicians said they would not change the will of their voters, who voted on August 30, 2020 for their pre-election coalition and against the nationalist “Democratic Party of Socialists” of Djukanovic.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, in response to Djukanovic’s invitation to hold consultations on the composition of the new government, the leaders of the Democratic Front wrote an open letter to the President of Montenegro, in which they called on the Montenegrin president and his Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) “not to try to destabilize the state "

Politicians said they had a number of reasons not to respond to the invitation to consultations, and they were the first to say that the formation of a new government was aimed at changing the electoral will of citizens, which would destabilize the situation in the country.

The DF notes that attempts at quick, hasty and half-hearted, situational decisions and the formation of unprincipled political alliances that are not based on the results of the elections to the Assembly on August 30, 2020 are unacceptable to them.

“Therefore, through our conversation with you, we do not want to give any legitimacy to processes that grossly violate the electoral will of citizens,” the letter says.
