Serbian professor accused Istanbul Patriarch of heresy

Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople is leading Orthodoxy to a schism, dividing local Churches into different types.

Serbian professor of theology, Archpriest Darko Djogo said this in an interview with the First Cossack TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We should not think that what happened in Ukraine will not happen anywhere else. It seems to me that this is a single project for the re-creation of the world Orthodox identity. Patriarch Bartholomew always told the Greek bishops that there was some kind of conspiracy of the Russians, Serbs, Bulgarians, the Slavic world against the Greek world. As if there is a first echelon of Orthodoxy - the Greek Churches: Constantinople, Antioch, Jerusalem. And there is some kind of second-class Orthodoxy.

If the idea that we belong to some second-rate Orthodox Churches prevails, I am not happy about such a prospect. This approach of Patriarch Bartholomew will have supporters in the Greek world. This is some form of Orthodox papism.

Bartholomew himself said one thing about the Ukrainian Church several years ago, but now it’s something else. They demonstratively force local Churches to change their position, for example, the Bishop of Alexandria, in order to show ordinary believers that this is possible. I believe that the Orthodox Church will survive this disease, like all heresies,” Djogo said.
