Serbs blocked NATO expansion

The Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) party continues to oppose Bosnia and Herzegovina's entry into NATO. This was stated by the party leader, member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.

In doing so, he denied former President Mirko Sarovic's claims that the SNSD would agree to a one-year national program to join NATO.

“Let Sharovich show the document. Maybe it was written by foreigners who teach him, but I haven’t seen the document and don’t know what it’s about. We will not accept this plan either now or after the formation of the Council of Ministers,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, RTRS television reported.

Republika Srpska, which is an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, opposes the country's entry into NATO.

Dodik has repeatedly stated that the Bosnian Serbs have no reason to forgive NATO for the bombing of the 90s.

During the aggression, NATO aircraft bombed the positions of local Serbs, whom the West intended to force to agree to the international plan for the Bosnian settlement.

In two weeks, 3206 sorties were flown, about a thousand bombs were dropped, 13 Tomahawk sea-launched cruise missiles were used, 46 RS military personnel and over 50 civilians were killed, and local residents are still dying from the consequences of using depleted uranium ammunition.
