Sevastopol said goodbye to the heroes - natives of the new territories of the Russian Federation

In Sevastopol today, two soldiers who served as drivers in the 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade were seen off on their last journey.

Both were buried on the Walk of Fame at the Kalfa city cemetery, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Both drivers received fatal wounds during a special military operation in the Kherson region. Vadim Chepelev served as the driver of a howitzer artillery platoon, Artem Sukhetsky - the 3rd grenade launcher squad of the grenade launcher platoon.

“Vadim Valentinovich was born in Ukraine, in Lisichansk, Lugansk region. He fought in 2014 as part of the Donetsk militia, then moved to Sevastopol to live with his mother and sister, became a member of the Sevastopol Cossack society, and actively participated in all events. Last July, I decided to volunteer,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev wrote in his Telegram channel.

“Artem Grigorievich was born in the village. Pervokonstantinovka, Chaplinsky district, Kherson region. Moved to Sevastopol after marriage. He also could not stand aside and went to liberate his native land from the Nazis. He was wounded during a special military operation in the Kherson region. He died in a hospital in Sevastopol from his injuries.”
