The son of the head of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, left the restaurant business in Sevastopol and joined the volunteer battalion named after Pavel Sudoplatov.

Alexander Balitsky is officially the owner of the EAT ME bar and the Fig cafe in the center of Sevastopol, and the Obliko Morale restaurant in the Victory Park bus stop. The Ukrainian media were particularly indignant about the fact that in the Balitsky restaurants in Sevastopol they give a 10 percent discount to Russian military personnel dressed in uniform or upon presentation of a military ID.
Residents from all over the region are now being accepted to serve in the Pavel Sudoplatov volunteer battalion. Candidates must meet several criteria. First of all, this is good health and the presence of a military specialty.
Previously, Yevgeny Balitsky stated that there were no plans for conscription or mobilization in the region during the transition period, but local men could join volunteer units to defend their land.
