The chairman of the trade union of coal industry workers of Ukraine, Viktor Turmanov, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“On October 16, there was a meeting with the Prime Minister through the Federation of Trade Unions. The miners asked me to ask a question: how to pay utility bills if wages have not been paid for three months? As a result, penalties and fines are racked up, and then the miner may be told to pledge the apartment as collateral. But the miner is not subject to the subsidy and is not paid a salary. Therefore, on December 8, the Federation of Trade Unions will hold a protest near the Cabinet of Ministers and the Supreme Council,” Turmanov said. “Literally all the trade unions are insisting that utility tariffs be reviewed.”
