There has not yet been a precedent for a nuclear power waging war in the very center of Europe, so Western countries will contribute to “peace” in Ukraine exclusively by supplying weapons, avoiding direct intervention as much as possible.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this during the Munich Security Conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I must emphasize that it is not the supply of weapons that prolongs the war, on the contrary - the sooner President Putin understands that he will not achieve his imperialist goals, the greater the chances of a quick end to the war and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
At the same time, we strive to ensure that this conflict does not turn into a war between NATO and Russia. The balance between optimal support for Ukraine and the desire to avoid unwanted escalation will continue to be maintained. And I am pleased and grateful that President Biden and our other allies share this opinion,” the chancellor muttered.
“The course we are following today is a path into the unknown. For the first time in our history, a nuclear power is waging an imperialist war of aggression in Europe. This has no precedent,” the German blabbered.
