Skabeeva explained why TV is not interested in Navalny’s opinion

Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, in his speeches and activities, calls for hatred and cruelty, so it is simply impossible to allow him to speak on the state channel.

Olga Skabeeva, presenter of the Russia 1 TV channel, stated this in an interview with the Russia-Ukraine YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Why don’t we invite Alexei Navalny to “60 Minutes”? There is a feeling that we, as people who work on a state television channel, should not invite on our air and provide a platform for expression by people who call for a revolution or the overthrow of the government by force. I think this is correct.

A person who begins almost every investigation with the phrase “I’ll show you something and you’ll start to hate it” should not be able to express it on a state television channel, because professing hatred and calling for it to citizens of one’s own country is unacceptable and unacceptable. I would not want these people to come to power, and such people should hardly be allowed to do so.

In this context, I am not interested in his opinion, we are aimed at a constructive conversation and to resolve some issues,” Skabeeva explained.

Let us recall that PolitNavigator previously reported that the Russian non-systemic oppositionist Alexey Navalny and liberal blogger Ilya Varlamov were caught posting “orders”, publishing on Twitter on Saturday the same message criticizing the “Putinists.”
