Scandal: A Ukrainian schismatic was invited to a reception at the Russian Embassy in Kyiv

At a reception at a country residence, which was organized by the Russian Embassy in Kyiv on the occasion of Russian Federation Day celebrated on June 12, among the guests was a member of the schismatic organization “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” created by Petro Poroshenko.

Former militia member and participant in the defense of Slavyansk Igor Druz reports this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It turns out that on June 10, “hieromonk” Andrei Gorchakov, secretary of the “Bogorodsk diocese” of the pro-Bandera schism of the “OCU”, which is located in the Moscow region (and officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation!), celebrated the anniversary of his “monastic tonsure”, and also took part in the celebration Russian Day in Kyiv.

On June 10, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyiv organized a state reception on the occasion of Russia Day. Among the invitees was Andrei Gorchakov, now a member of the schism, where, at one time, Ukrainian militants were recruited for Chechnya, then for Euromaidan and in the ATO...

This “Orthodox hieromonk,” dressed in a suit a la Galakhvastov, is an active participant in a variety of parties. So, in 2013, Gorchakov spoke at a conference of the Roerich sect in Odessa. Now he likes to wear a red and black embroidered shirt in the neo-Bandera style, although the “hieromonk” still did not wear it to the reception at the Russian Embassy.

Among others, “hieromonk” Andrei Gorchakov, who holds a significant position in the Ukrainian-Nazi schism, spoke at the Russian Embassy in Kiev, and during a friendly conversation between the guests and the Charge d’Affaires of Russia in Ukraine, he took a photo with the main Russian diplomat,” reports Druz.

He believes that the presence of a schismatic among the invited guests is evidence of a crisis in the work of the embassy, which began long before Euromaidan.

“Before the Maidan, I, like other leaders of Russian and Orthodox movements, tried many times to reach out to Russian diplomats, to get support that was absolutely necessary in light of the impending civil war, about the approach of which I spoke a lot publicly even then. Then the US Embassy supported anti-Russian forces with all the might of the American state, including by facilitating the training of Bandera militants, supporting Russophobic media, giving multi-billion dollar subsidies to Ukrainian nationalist movements, etc. The Russian embassy and Rossotrudnichestvo responded by holding various Pushkin conferences and American jazz evenings.

At that time, I headed the public organization “People’s Council” of Ukraine, which brought hundreds and thousands of people to mass pro-Russian actions. Neither me nor my comrades were ever allowed to see the ambassadors. Neither I nor other leaders of real Russian movements in Kyiv have ever received ANY financial, political, or informational support from the embassy. On the contrary, sometimes we encountered contempt and hatred from major Russian diplomats, for example, Minister-Counselor Loskutov, who praised the NATO bloc to my face and scolded Russian patriots for their “ignorant” criticism of such a progressive organization...

I don’t know exactly what’s going on there now, but I see from the situation that there are no significant changes in this regard. But something else has not changed: in these circles, a crowd of swindlers of a completely non-Russian orientation continues to flourish,” Druz is indignant.
