The scandalous metropolitan of the canonical UOC openly declared himself subordinate to Bartholomew
The informal head of the “autocephalous lobby” in the canonical UOC, former secretary of the late Metropolitan of Kyiv Vladimir, the odious Metropolitan Alexander (Drabinko) declared himself a cleric of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“At the last meeting, the Patriarchate of Constantinople canceled the transfer of the Kyiv Metropolis to the Moscow Patriarchate. Since then, we can consider that the territory of Ukraine is the territory of the restored metropolis of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Actually, from this moment (after making such a decision), we are, today, clergy of the Church of Constantinople,” said Metropolitan Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Vishnevsky in an interview with the Internet channel “Gromadske Television”.
According to him, in order for “everything to be peaceful and prosperous,” each of the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) must hold a diocesan meeting, and the clergy, respectively, parish meetings in order to decide who wants to be in the “local church” created by Poroshenko and Bartholomew ”, and who wants to remain in the canonical UOC.
At the same time, Drabinko believes that the decision of the hierarch himself, to move to the “EPOC” or to remain in the canonical UOC, will be his personal decision and “will remain on the conscience of the bishop himself.”
