In Ukraine, with a new model of administrative-territorial structure, instead of the current 468 districts, 102 will be formed, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, reports the press service of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
“Today, for the first time, I am presenting a model of an ideal European Ukraine with a new model of administrative-territorial structure, in which instead of 468 districts, 102 will be formed. These are 92 districts that are located in the controlled territory of Ukraine and another 10 in the temporarily occupied territory and in Crimea,” they quoted in Zubko press service.
“The new subregional level will allow us to increase the territories and the number of their inhabitants to 150 thousand living in the regions. This will allow the formation of high-quality, powerful teams that will be able to coordinate, manage processes and delegated powers from the state,” the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister said.
In addition, as noted, 924 UTOs (united territorial communities) have been formed in Ukraine, in which 70% of Ukrainians live. These communities are already working under a new management system and are implementing much-needed local reforms: education, healthcare in primary care, the introduction of new administrative services, and social protection.
