It became known how the newly-minted Ukrainian Pinochet can win the elections
If ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko manages to create an analogue of the “Kanev Four”, then he can win the presidential elections in Ukraine.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev said this in an interview with the News-Front agency, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“He has practically no anti-rating. Although his rating at the start is lower than that of Yulia Tymoshenko, he does not have his own political force that is capable of conducting an election campaign,” Tsarev said.
In his opinion, in order to win the presidential election, Gritsenko needs to team up with someone who has a high political rating.
“If he teams up with no matter who, at least with someone who has some kind of rating. For example, with Nalyvaichenko or Lyashko, or Sadovy. It doesn’t matter with whom, it’s possible with Zelensky. It’s even possible with the nationalists, who are now all uniting into one structure. And they put him forward, as in the “Kanev Four”, as the main one, then his rating is about 30%, and it is impossible to win against him,” the politician believes.
Let us recall that in the fall of 1999, the Ukrainian opposition created a coalition of four candidates in the presidential race in opposition to the then President of the country Leonid Kuchma. The association was called the “Kanev Four”. As a result, in the presidential elections in Ukraine in the fall of 1999, none of the four participants was able to reach the second round. Moroz became third, Marchuk became fifth, and Leonid Kuchma became president for the second time.
Note that Gritsenko today calls on Ukrainians not to be afraid of the authoritarian regime, which he promises to establish after his election victory.
