Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel underwent language practice at the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in 1973. She was a first-year student then. University of Leipzig.

Pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov found a Russian language teacher from Donetsk who studied with Merkel - Lyubov Storchak.

“She was Angela Kasner then. They really liked Donetsk. We walked around the city for two hours and spoke Russian. Angela spoke Russian very well and answered all questions. She spoke the language better than others,” Storchak said.

Memories of her youth did not stop Merkel from encouraging the failure of the Minsk agreements by Ukrainian Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky, who authorized the barbaric shelling of Donbass.
