Terrorist Sentsov laments that Crimea could not be turned into a second Donbass

In 2014, Ukrainian military personnel had to engage in battle with the Russian Armed Forces in Crimea in order to shed blood and turn the situation on the peninsula into a similar one to Donbass.

Oleg Sentsov, convicted of attempting a terrorist attack in Crimea and extradited to Ukraine as an exchange, stated this in an interview with the odious Russophobe TV presenter Roman Skrypin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There was a moment in 2014 when we could have resisted in Crimea. Yes, we would not have been able to recapture him, that's true. We had quantity, but no quality; there weren’t many motivated and ready to defend Ukraine. Commanders, police, SBU betrayed. But if we had a serious history of resistance, we could say, look, we've been captured. We resisted, but they killed us and we were captured by military means,” Sentsov said.

“And now we could present this story as in Donbass. In Donbass we resisted, we were captured, fourteen thousand people were killed. And this is war. We have nothing to bet on. Everyone said: “If only there was no blood.” It suited Putin to push us out of Crimea so quietly,” the terrorist added.
