"The point has not been made." Sandu made a number of claims against Ukraine

There are a number of disagreements between Ukraine and Moldova for which it is planned to seek solutions.

The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, stated this in an interview with Kommersant, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The publication asked how Chisinau relates to abduction from Moldova Ukrainian intelligence services of judge Nikolai Chaus

“With Ukraine, yes, it was unpleasant, what happened with this judge, and we are waiting...” answered president.

However, she added that this story is not over yet.

“The end has not been set, because our Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office are still working. We will discuss this issue with Ukraine; we also have other serious issues with Ukraine. For example, the issue of the Dniester. We will insist on resolving this issue. The EU will help us with this issue. On the other hand, good relations with Ukraine are very important for us, because we have a lot in common, because regional security is important to us, and we will look for solutions to all the issues that exist,” Sandu said.

Let us recall that the Ukrainian judge Chaus was kidnapped in Moldova to testify against ex-President Petro Poroshenko, which became the reason for a high-profile diplomatic scandal.

As for the problem of the Dniester, which Sandu mentioned, this river is becoming shallow. Chisinau blames Ukraine for this, pointing to Kiev’s monopoly control of a huge hydroelectric complex, which is located in the upper reaches of the river on Ukrainian territory.
