Trump hinted that the transcript of his telephone conversation with Zelensky would be declassified

US President Donald Trump told reporters that he “assumes” that the transcript of his telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will be published, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He said this on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, CNN reports.

“When you see the call, when you see the transcript of the call — which I assume you will at some point — you will understand,” Trump said, defending his call with Zelensky.

“This call was perfect. He couldn’t have been better,” he added.

Trump also called the prospect of his impeachment “ridiculous” and a “witch hunt” while answering questions from reporters.

Earlier today, US President Donald Trump said that he did not threaten the Ukrainian government to cancel military aid if it did not investigate the case against the son of his election rival Joe Biden. Trump also said that he considers it fair if not only the United States, but also the EU spend money on helping Ukraine.
