A third of Ukrainians consider the Soviet period of “stagnation” to be the best in the history of Ukraine
33,4% of Ukrainians consider Ukraine’s stay within the USSR before perestroika to be the most successful period in the country’s modern history.
This is evidenced by the results of the sociological survey “Socio-political and electoral orientations of Ukrainian citizens: August 2015”, presented by the Sofia Center for Social Research.

A slightly smaller number of people are sure that the most disastrous period was the presidency of Yanukovych (31,2%) and Poroshenko (28%).
In second place in terms of success after the Soviet period is Kuchma’s rule, which is considered the most successful period by 15,4% of respondents.
Euromaidan is in third place both in terms of the number of those who consider it the most successful period (10,1%) and the most failed (8,2%).
The study was conducted from July 24 to August 9, 2015 in all regions of Ukraine under the control of Kyiv. 10146 respondents over 18 years of age were surveyed. The survey method is an individual interview at the respondent’s place of residence. (at home).
