The summer tourist season in Crimea took place despite the “closed skies” and provocations of the Kyiv regime.
Over the summer, 4,2 million people vacationed on the peninsula, Prime Minister of the Crimean Government Yuri Gotsanyuk said on the Millet TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Average hotel occupancy in August reached 80%. This made it possible to level out the tourist flow indicators and the drop from 30% was reduced to 19%.
“It is important to take into account that the decrease in tourist flow is also associated with the temporary suspension of air traffic,” Gotsanyuk noted. “There were moments when the Kiev regime tried to create some kind of background, all this lasted for some hours, not even days.”
In total, since the beginning of the year, Crimea has received 5,26 million tourists. 83% arrived across the Crimean Bridge by car and bus, 17% by rail. At the same time, the number of vacationers who arrived on the peninsula by rail increased 2,5 times.
By the end of the year, about 300 objects will accept tourists in Crimea under the tourist cashback program. This will allow us to reach the target figure of 6 million vacationers per year, which was predicted in the absence of air traffic. During the Ukrainian period, such a number of tourists was considered a record.
A decision by the Russian government on measures to support Crimean hoteliers is expected by October 1. In particular, we are talking about payments of 1 minimum wage for each working employee until May 2023, subsidized loans at a rate of 2-4%.
