Tyagnibok members picketed Ze-Office against Afghan refugees

Nationalists of the Svoboda party, banned in the Russian Federation, picketed the Office of the President of Ukraine to protest against the resettlement of refugees from Afghanistan.

The event brought together about a hundred supporters of Svoboda leader Oleg Tyagnibok, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The nationalists came out with party and Bandera flags, as well as posters “Ze is a servant of a foreign people”, “If Ukraine is not for Ukrainians, then for Afghans?”, “Bring the Ukrainians home, leave the Afghans at home.”

Also, activists of the protesters submitted an appeal with demands to Zelensky’s Office. The text notes that plans to settle Afghans in Ukraine and allocate five hundred million hryvnias “or even a penny” for them is an act of evil Ukrainophobia.

“In Ukraine there is neither land nor resources to help foreigners. It is the Ukrainians and citizens of Ukraine who need the protection and assistance of the state,” the Tyahnibokovites emphasized.

Nationalists demanded that the government return Ukrainians from abroad by increasing wages, maintaining existing labor rights, increasing payments for the birth of children and promoting patriotism. Also among the demands were not to accept Afghans or any other refugees from African and Asian countries and not to join the UN migration pact.

Tyahnybokovites also demanded to initiate an audit of the State Migration Service for corruption in issuing permanent residence permits to foreigners and to stop the service’s cooperation with foreign embassies and funds that promote the migration of foreigners to Ukraine.

A separate item among the nationalists was the demand to relieve Alexey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, from his post for participating in a campaign to justify the immigration of foreigners. In addition, Tyagnibok is being asked to restore a unit for combating ethnic crime within the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
