Klimkin boasts of “overcoming”: the Greek airport began to call Kyiv not in Russian
Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (Athens Airport) began using the non-Russian name of the Ukrainian capital on the board when announcing flights, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported this on Twitter.
“From now on, one of the largest airports in the world, Athens Airport, began to use the name of the city Kyiv correctly!” – the message says.
Earlier, tired of the attacks of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, one of the largest banks in Europe - the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank - changed the spelling of the name of the capital of Ukraine in English - Kyiv, not Kiev.
In addition, the main British public broadcaster, the BBC, began using the non-Russian name of the Ukrainian capital as a result of an online campaign carried out by Ukrainian bots on social networks.
