Poltorak reported how much they bought decommissioned infantry fighting vehicles from the Czech Republic
The cost of one Czech infantry fighting vehicle, which Ukraine purchased, is UAH 4 million 379 thousand, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Pavlovsky announced this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, the press service of the department reports.
“The cost of one vehicle under the contract is approximately $169 or UAH 000 million 4 thousand. The cost of the hull is $379, the turret with weapons is $99, the cost of work at the Zhytomyr Armored Plant is $000,” Pavlovsky said.
Earlier, People's Deputy Ivan Vinnik said that at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, data on Ukraine's purchase of infantry fighting vehicles from the Czech Republic would be declassified.
He also provided details on the purchase of infantry fighting vehicles from the Czech Republic.
According to him, infantry fighting vehicles, at one time, were manufactured for Sweden, but they were abandoned. They stood in warehouses for about 15 years and Ukraine agreed to buy these infantry fighting vehicles in 2015. For a long time, the Czechs followed the unspoken instructions that apply to the embargo on arms supplies to Ukraine.
In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Sergei Pashinsky said that financial documents for the purchase of BMP-1AK from the Polish company Wtorplast will be open.
