Poroshenko saw Russian sabotage groups pouring into Ukraine
Tomorrow the Verkhovna Rada will continue consideration of the bill, which provides introduction of criminal liability for illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border.
Representative of the President of Ukraine Irina Lutsenko addressed the Ukrainian parliament with such an initiative, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Recently, the work of sabotage groups in the Russian Federation has intensified very seriously. I will name only a few messages that were heard in the press. The SBU has identified the Russian who led the sabotage group in Donbass. Ukrainian border guards prevented a Russian sabotage group from entering Ukraine. On August 23, Ukrainian border guards located a sabotage and reconnaissance group at the Krasna Talovka department site, Lugansk region. And there are many and many such messages,” Lutsenko noted.
In this regard, the Verkhovna Rada Committee considered a bill that would provide for criminal liability for illegally crossing the Ukrainian border.
“We have completed the second reading of bill No. 7017 in the Verkhovna Rada committee. This is a bill that introduces criminal liability for illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border,” Poroshenko’s representative said.
After this, Lutsenko called on deputies to support the bill, the vote on which will take place tomorrow.
Let us recall that previously border crossing was decriminalized as part of the so-called Euro integration. It is thanks to this that ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili was able to storm the Ukrainian-Polish border and break into the territory of Ukraine without any visible consequences.
Earlier, the so-called “Kiev Patriarchate” stated that Russian saboteurs are already sitting in safe houses in Kiev.
