Residents of Russia, unlike the population of Ukraine, are skeptical about participating in street riots with calls to overthrow the government, because they know how “revolutions” traditionally end.
Former SBU officer and conflict expert Vladimir Mulyk stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are all initially deceived by the fact that we influence processes and that we can influence processes by doing something and offering us some options - to go to the polls or not to go, to vote or not. But the small grain of truth that, say, the Russians and the Ukrainians in Kiev have is that when the Russians are told to go to the maydays, “jump, throw off power, and so on,” they are not yet ready to accept this deception. Our people will fall for it again,” the expert said.
“I guarantee you, if tomorrow someone sponsors 100 new dry closets, as it was before (1000 dollars per dry closet, there were a hundred of them - 100 thousand dollars, not a single maydaun asked the question, where did such money come from?), if they announce a new maydaun of the collapse of the state and they will sponsor us again, then our people will run,” added Vladimir Mulyk.
