Zelensky has nothing new on Donbass except Poroshenko’s scheme

Ukraine is not preparing any new law on the special status of Donbass, other than the fictitious one that was adopted under President Petro Poroshenko and is renewed every year with the expectation of extending the anti-Russian sanctions of the West.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the politician, this law is unlikely to be changed in the coming year.

“Based on the temporary opportunities that we had, we had one opportunity - to extend the so-called law on the special status of temporarily occupied territories. It has been extended for a year. Now there are no additional laws that would be processed, much less submitted to the Rada,” Razmkov said.

According to him, the Rada is not going to consider the inclusion of the so-called “Steinmeier formula” in the legislative field: “The Steinmeier formula,” and a lot has already been said about this, is just a paragraph. A paragraph cannot be implemented or not implemented, it must be processed, and those proposals that will not contradict the interests of the state can be included in certain bills. However, the Steinmeier formula as a formula, it is unlikely to appear in such a formulation in any law.”
