Oligarch Viktor Pinchuk came to the presidential administration on May 31 with his father-in-law Leonid Kuchma, who met with Vladimir Zelensky in order to discuss his appointment as head of the Ukrainian side at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk.
These data were confirmed during a briefing by the press secretary of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have already seen that news has appeared that Victor Pinchuk allegedly came to the Presidential Administration and would like to comment on this. Actually, he actually came to the Presidential Administration on May 31 and he came with the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, who met with Vladimir Zelensky in order to discuss the position that was offered to him today, to head the Trilateral Contact Group and lead Ukraine. Actually, this discussion took place, and today we saw the result of this meeting"- said Mendel.
Earlier, political scientist Pyotr Maga stated that Kuchma’s participation in the negotiations on Donbass could ensure the business interests of his father-in-law, oligarch Pinchuk.
Some former members of the Poroshenko Bloc - the so-called “Euro-optimists”, who began to support Zelensky on the eve of the presidential elections, are focusing on Pinchuk.
