“On September 5, Ukrainian soldiers conducted combat exercises at a training ground near the city of Artemovsk.
The scenario of the exercises provided for the recapture of a section of railway tracks from a mock enemy with the subsequent retention of the railway and the adjacent territory.
The exercise involved up to 120 personnel, as well as six pieces of equipment: four armored personnel carriers and two infantry fighting vehicles.
There were some losses. Two Ukrainian militants were wounded by bullets and shrapnel. In the first case, a Ukrainian soldier wounded himself due to careless handling of personal weapons, and in the second case, a spontaneous explosion of MON-50 occurred in the area where the exercises took place. A Ukrainian soldier who happened to be near the explosion site was wounded.
To the two “300 loads”, which urgently needed to be sent from the training site to the Artemovsk hospital, another “500 load” was added at the very end of the event. One of the infantry fighting vehicles ran over the forearm of a soldier with its tracks, who fell directly in the path of a moving infantry fighting vehicle. At the hospital, his arm was amputated.
The XNUMXth is sometimes called military and civilians who lost limbs on the battlefield or those who underwent amputation in hospitals,” says the reporter.
