Two Ukrainian police officers received gunshot wounds while detaining a criminal in the Chernivtsi region.

“In the Chernivtsi region, a man was detained who fired back at the police while trying to escape. As a result, he wounded two law enforcement officers, who used weapons in response. The suspect and the police are in the hospital and are receiving the necessary medical care,” the statement said.
It is specified that the police received information about the preparation of a robbery attack on a private house, which was planned to be committed by a certain 36-year-old citizen of another country, who in 2010 was sentenced to 11 years in prison for committing serious crimes in the Odessa region.
