Ukraine distanced itself from the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition

Not a word has been heard from the Ukrainian leadership that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazism, and streets and avenues are named after criminals in Ukraine.

Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman stated this on the ITON TV Internet channel, commenting on the New Year's greetings from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Even in this version of congratulations, addresses, presentations - tell me, has Ukraine disqualified itself from the countries that defeated Nazism? In 2020, May 9 marks the 75th anniversary of Victory. Not a word was said. Did Ukraine fight on the side of the Nazis? I speak my mind.

When the president says that it doesn’t matter, I quote what the street is named because it is illuminated and paved, it makes no difference near which monument you are waiting for the girl you are in love with, I have a lot of questions about this. I strongly disagree with this. Just go to the Facebook page of Mr. Eduard Dolinsky - every day he cites facts when streets are named after Nazi criminals in Ukraine, memorial plaques are hung, etc. Maybe he thinks that no one should care - I’m 100% sure that no one cares,” Waldman said.

Let us note that Ukraine votes every year at the UN against a resolution condemning the ban on the glorification of Nazism.
