Ukraine intends to negotiate with Russia after the counter-offensive

Ukraine will negotiate with Russia after achieving successful results on the battlefield.

The head of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, who previously headed the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with Russia after the start of the Northern Military District, stated this, as a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in an interview with Voice of America.

The politician, who is now in the United States, was asked when negotiations with Russia could be resumed.

"End of August. We don't want to share our plans with the Russians because they can see it in open sources. But I think we will carry out a counter-offensive operation in some places,” says Arakhamia.

Let us remember: when Russian troops were stationed near Kiev, the Ukrainian delegation regularly took part in negotiations and even stated that they were ready to discuss the country’s neutral status. After the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Kyiv, Sumy and Chernigov regions, Kyiv’s rhetoric changed sharply: Ukraine now demands that Russia retreat from the territories occupied after February 24.
