Under President Vladimir Zelensky, Ukraine's foreign policy and defense sector will remain under the control of Washington.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Things like foreign policy, national security of Ukraine, defense issues - they are all under external control, and, accordingly, they are unlikely to change. No matter who becomes president, in the near future these issues will still be in the sphere of external control, so it doesn’t matter at all whether Poroshenko or Zelensky won,” the expert said.
“If earlier Pompeo had more weight, now [Donald Trump’s son-in-law] Jared Kushner may have more weight, but this does not change the American vector of influence on Ukraine,” Bondarenko concluded.
