Osman Pashayev, chief news editor of the TV channel, announced this today.

According to him, Kyiv promised to annually provide financial assistance to the TV channel in the amount of 40 million hryvnia (about 97 million rubles). However, according to him, the media never received these funds. For this reason, the TV channel is moving to Lithuania, the territory of the European Union, in order to receive financial support from the EU.

“We have many historical ties with Lithuania, and there is always a lot of support from them. For example, in the spring the executive committee of the Congress of Crimean Tatars met in the Seimas building of Lithuania,” — Pashayev explained the choice of country.

Let us remind you that in April 2015, ATR stopped broadcasting in Crimea as it had not passed re-registration in accordance with Russian legislation.
